We went to Battery Park, ground zero, the 9-11 fire station/memorial to firefighters, and saw the statue of liberty all on a Saturday. Note to self...go on a weekday if you intend to take the ferry out to Ellis Island. Go on the weekend if you want to be assaulted by the illegal purse dealers.) The line for the ferry was ridiculously long. We estimated it to be over two hours long. So we did what any sane American women would do, we went and bought some "genuine" Coach purses in Battery Park.
