Happy Blogiversary To Me!

It was just one short year ago this week, that I started my blog! This year has flown by! Through blogging I have kept in touch with relatives, located some friends from high school and from old wards (some who have moved far away!) and gotten to know some really awesome ladies in my ward better!

Thanks for helping me start my blog Dana! It is nice to have a hobby besides being the Drescher family taxi driver! This year I have had almost 8000 hits on my blog (roughly 4000 from me, 4000 from my mom! ;) from all around the world (Thanks Tracey for keeping me international!)

Thanks for sucking me into blogging guys! Now, how can we suck my sister and sister-in-law in? I just about got my good friend Sherrie, we sat down at work and started working on her blog Saturday (oh yes, once again working real hard!) ...now if we can only think of someone to pimp it for her (hint, hint)!

Happy Birthday Jamers!

Sunday was my brothers birthday. As we never miss the chance to celebrate, we had a little party for him! (Love the baby barf on the shirt, way to keep it real!)(Oh no, I am not being critical, last week I went to
a party with lipstick on my teeth...I think it might be genetic:)
Happy Birthday Jamie!
We hope you have a great year.
We love You! Quick, someone grab the fire extinguisher!

I Have Been Bitten! No it's not a snake!

Some Twilight fanatics and I celebrated Bella's birthday. I had a great time, and it was a good chance for me to catch up with some friends. I miss most social gatherings, due to my work schedule. Thanks Sherrie for filling in for me for the first few hours of my shift! I had to work after, but I didn't let that get in the way of having a fantastic time. Thanks for the great time guys! So, if you enlarge the picture a bit, you will see that Kelly has bite marks on her neck! Oh yes, she literally has an Edward at home! Now when you enlarge the photo you will also see that I have lipstick on my teeth. Why didn't you guys tell me? Please someone tell me that I wasn't walking around all night like that!

I can't wait for the movie! We will have to have a Premiere Party!

Hands to Work, Heart to God

For Achievement Day last week we did a little service project in our ward building. The girls learned all about the "heart in hand" symbol. Zane was out of town last week, so the kids and I went to my Moms and we whipped together a little heart in hand something something for the girls. The achievement day girls are such a fun age! If you do a little something special for them, they are so thrilled. It makes it totally worth it to see the excitement that a cookie in a cellophane bag can bring! Thanks for helping me Mom!

Brittney, you can see what the dipped cookies look like. I have made them before and they turned out better looking. It might be the EXCESSIVE help I had by four extra hands. Those 4 little "helping" hands were covered in frosting, glitter and sprinkles before we were done! I think someday it might be a great memory. Not quite yet, I am still cleaning edible glitter off of the floor.

Snakes In A Plane!!!!

After driving past this 14 times today I keep saying the phrase "Snakes In A Plane". I don't know why I keep saying it, I just do. That's right, he was right out the front gate of our neighborhood. Thankfully he did not know the code to get in! In an effort to keep the members of the Veranda community safe, I ran over him this morning. Then I backed up and ran over him again. Okay, so he was probably dead when I first encountered him, but you can never be too sure about these things.
We have had several snake sightings this summer in our neighborhood. When it is HOT the snakes come out! Did you know there is a rattlesnake bite season at my hospital? Good Sam has the antidote to rattlesnake bites. Crofab! As Dr. Jackson has told me, Crofab anti-venom costs about as much as a new Saturn. I rather have a new Saturn! Then I can run over more snakes and keep the world a safer place!

Oklahoma City

Last week we went to Oklahoma to visit Zane's sick Mom. She died shortly after we got there. We are so thankful she waited for us to say goodbye! We will miss Grandma Norma!

While we were waiting for the funeral, we had a few days of free time and a couple of bored kids. We found a cute area called "Bricktown". They tore out the street around these old brick buildings and put in a cool canal. We took the kids on a boat ride around the canal.

While we were walking around the canals, there was a lady that worked at one of the restaurants that gave us a huge bag of bread to feed the ducks.

That is kinda a creepy sculpture, isn't it?

We learned a lot about Oklahoma history. I had to laugh at the billboards in the background of the Oklahoma land rush sculptures. After learning about Oklahoma history, I need to rent Far and Away from Netflix!

For all of you Sonic lovers, we visited the cooperate headquarters. Their Cherry Limeaides taste the same as they do at our Sonic!

Jacob stayed home from Oklahoma with Dana. While we were gone we missed Jacob's 1st birthday. Good thing we had already had a party for him a few weeks ago! My birthday gift to you Jacob was not making you sit in a car seat while we drove across 4 states! Dana, Cheryl, Brittney, and Alex threw a little birthday party for Jakey! Thanks for the great pictures guys! We missed our little guy so much!

Dana, you have no idea how much we appreciated you babysitting for us! I know Jakey-boo had more fun at home! You are the best!

Thanks also to all of our friends and family who have offered their thoughts, prayers and condolences to us! I was overwhelmed by the number of people who offered to keep our kids while Zane and I made the trip! We love you all!
