A Tribute to the Weather!

Jacob turned 6 months old this week! What a happy little guy! We love you Jakey! You make us smile at least one thousand times every day!

The weather has been so beautiful this week! We enjoyed our backyard every day!

So fun, but I think we need a new swingset. This one is falling apart! It never was the same again after we moved it from our old house!

The kids felt it was warm enough to swim. They changed there minds very quickly once they got in!

And The Oscar Goes To...

We had such a great time at the Gardanier's Academy Awards Party! This year for the first time ever there was a three way tie for the little gold dude. Denise, Don and Brian are going to keep the award for 4 months each!

I Have Been Tagged!

I have been tagged several times lately. All of the tags have asked me to share several things about myself that you might not know. This was really hard to do. It honestly took me several hours to compile this list (I was at work, and had a patient to keep alive in my spare time) so...here it goes.

1. I love the beach. It probably has to do with the fact that we go there every summer to escape the heat. We have lots of great family memories from our beach vacations. As soon as we get home from the beach, I start thinking about our next beach trip.

2. I love a Sonic Diet Coke! Something about the styrofoam cup and the crushed ice just makes it taste better.

3. I love when my husband cleans, although it drives me crazy when he moves my stuff and I can't find it.

4. I think Disneyland IS the happiest place on earth. I like to go at least once a year.

5. I love driving to work. It is the only time when I am alone in the car, I can pick the music, turn it up, talk on the phone without kids interrupting, and be alone with my thoughts. I don't like driving home from work quite as much, because I am usually struggling to stay awake!

6. Most days I love my job. Going to work is my hobby. Isn't it fantastic to get a paycheck for a hobby? There is a lot of excitment at my job. I work in a medical surgical ICU and let me tell you there is a lot of DRAMA there. I know why there are so many TV sitcoms about hospitals.

7. I love a clean kitchen floor, or I guess I should say I hate a dirty one.

8. Tigi Bedhead products. Need I say more?

9. I love going to the movies. Zane and I used to go to the movies like every week when we only had Olivia. We would take her to the childcare center in Harkins theatres. I miss those days. I keep telling myself in 4 years Olivia can babysit, and Zane and I can return to the movies. In the meantime, we have a Netflix membership.

10. My favorite place to eat is Macayo's Mexican Restaurant. Their chicken fajitas ROCK! In fact, Macayos catered our wedding! Zane and I have learned about the fine art of takeout since our little boys make it painful to go to restaurants.

11. I love getting a babysitter. As you can tell from #9 and #10 we don't do it that often.

12. I love snuggling with my kids especially when their hair smells good. Since Jake has no hair I rub his bald head down with yummy smelling lotion!

13. There is no better mascara in this world than Lancome Definicils. There must be a fresh one in my makeup bag at all times.

14. I will never get tired of the smell of Amarige perfume. It has been my favorite for years.

Superbowl Sunday!

We had a great time at the Gardanier's Annual Superbowl Party! The party aka "the grazathon" had some new faces this year , The Cichon's and the Harbertson's, which made it even more fun! To quote my brother-in-law Brian "during the Superbowl you have to pace your eating. At the end of the first quarter you should be 25% full." The food was delicious, and the desserts were darling! We missed Zane, he was in Texas for his weekend warrior duty. It was real torture for Zane, he was stuck on a plane during the Superbowl and missed the whole game. Thank goodness for DVR's! Special thanks to Brittney for the pictures. Zachary broke my camera, so I did not have one that night. Not to worry. A new one has been purchased, I just neeed to figure out how to use it!

Getting Ready for Achievment Day!

Let me just say I am so psyched about my new calling! I am one of the Achievemeny Day leaders in our ward. Oh, how fun is this going to be! I spent the morning getting ready for Achievment Day. Olivia and I put together this little favor for our PJ'S party. PJ'S stands for PRAYER, JOURNAL, SCRIPTURE STUDY. We are all going to wear our pajamas! Can anyone think of a cute dessert to serve? If I can't come up with a better idea I am going to get donuts or cinnamon rolls or something like that.
