Last Week We:

Introduced Jakey to one of our favorite places...the beach. Good thing he loves it too, a must if you are a Drescher!

Played a ton in the sand! And we brought a ton of sand home with us as a souvenir!

Gossiped, um I mean chatted with Sherrie. Posed for many pictures with good friends!

Ate a little sand...it's fiber isn't it?

Had a barbecue in Mission Park!

The Mom's rode scooters around Mission Park. There was a little scooter mishap that left a mark or two. Good thing I know how to tuck and roll!

Went to Sea World

Rode the train (train red as Zachary called it!)Went to Seaport Village and rode the merry-go-round.


I got lazy about taking pictures at the end of the trip. We met Mike and Jan in Old Town and had some great Mexican Food. We talked about doing a family reunion next year, I hope someone will put it together (hint hint Mom and Jan!) We also ate a few :) times at Konos, our favorite breakfast place.

No sightings of our favorite two Pacific Beach legends Slomo and the Lion King (aka the flash, aka the eagle). The owner of Swings and Things tells us the lion king has moved to Hawaii. I guess we will have to plan a trip there next!

Can't wait to go back next year, we had a great time! By the way we tried a new hotel out, The Ocean Park Inn. We liked it as much as The Blue Sea Lodge, and it was closer to a lot of our favorite places!

Swim Team

Olivia had a great time this summer at swim team. She did a great job, and has many ribbons to show for it!

Let's Celebrate!

To celebrate the end of the work-a-thon Sherrie and I took the girls out for pedicures. We had a great time, minus the pedicure lady offending Olivia a little bit. She asked Olivia"what is the matter with your face?" Olivia was mortified, but she will have to get used to it, as rude people ask her about her scar all of the time. (Of course, Olivia hopes no one notices it!) We couldn't hardly make out two words those ladies said (English was definitely not their native tongue), but THAT came out loud and clear.

Yes, the work-a-thon is done. It actually ended a week ago, but it took me this long to recover. I have been asked many times, "was it worth it?" YES! It was totally worth it. It actually went super fast, and we had lots of fun at work. What do you expect when you work with your best friend? A few people in my ward told me that Zane really missed me, although he will never 'fess up to that! Nonetheless, it was nice to hear my work at home is appreciated! So, if they continue having double-overtime...I may just have an annual work-a-thon. Zane gets an annual UTA, I think I deserve it!

How come I did not get the memo?
I finally remembered to red tag the dilantin level, after forgetting four times! Yes, four mornings in a row I had to re-draw my patients labs. She may need a transfusion when we are done!

So, there is a stop light on the pod that goes red if we are being too loud. We call it the yaker tracker. The one stop light moves throughout the whole hospital. Wouldn't you know it has been on my pod since the work-a-thon started? It has really put a damper on the continuous party that we have at work!

Highlights of the week:

Finding a $1 bill in a new patients bum crack. I wonder what else he has up there?

While we were in the cafeteria, a LADY with a beard asked Sherrie and me to buy her breakfast. Then she went to the cash register, and tried to bargain the price down on the chocolate parfait! Yes, she was one of Phoenix's finest. As we were walking away, Sherrie generously offered to pay for a wax job on the beard. Maybe if you didn't have a beard, you could get a job and buy your own parfait!

Yea, I know the before and after look the same. Jake had a bit of a "combover", and it is gone now! Can you believe he still has no teeth. He may need some pediatric dentures! They should be some teeth popping through any day, I can feel them!
